Mémoire d’homme
Solo exhibition in Geneva exploring memory, form, and symbolic figuration.
16 April - 16 May 2026
Renaissance Galerie d’Art is pleased to present Mémoire d’homme, a solo exhibition by Thénie Khatchatourian.
Working primarily on paper, the artist develops a distinctive visual language of constructed, symbolic figures. Rendered in earthy pigments and restrained tones, her compositions bring together bodies, vessels, and geometric forms that evoke both human presence and architectural structure.
Rather than depicting narratives directly, her practice distills them into essential forms. Her figures appear as quiet, grounded presences — at once intimate and monumental — carrying a sense of shared, collective memory.
Rooted in her Armenian cultural heritage, her work engages with memory as a process of transmission, where gestures, symbols, and forms persist across time, connecting past and present through a common visual language.
