Marco Di Piazza was born in Rome in 1961 and studied art and architecture in Florence.
He started his exhibition activity at a very young age both in Italy and abroad.
In 1990 he opened his own art gallery in San Gimignano in Tuscany.
After years of experience with stone and bronze, the current iron and steel sculptures are the result of a translation of his drawings in three dimensions. By making use of a particular technique, he is able to create stable and particularly light works for both interiors and exteriors, of a size that varies between 20 cm and 6 meters in height.
In parallel with his creative activity, he carries out didactic and pedagogical activities, both in Bonn and in San Gimignano.
He works as a sculptor and painter in Italy and Germany; since 2003 he has lived in Bonn with his family.
His paintings and sculptures are found in over 20 countries around the world
