Justyna Maria Porowska Polish / Swiss, b. 1991

Born in Opole, Poland in 1991, Justyna Maria Porowska studied scenography at the Jan Cybis Secondary Art School before pursuing architecture at the Opole University of Technology and later completing a Master’s degree in Architecture at the Warsaw University of Technology.

Her artistic practice developed alongside her architectural training, combining a strong sense of composition and structure with a sensitivity to color, light, and atmosphere. Early works focused on still life and landscapes inspired by her native surroundings, while her more recent paintings transform everyday scenes and objects into vibrant, carefully balanced visual narratives.

Working between realism and abstraction, Porowska creates paintings that invite contemplation through simplicity, clarity, and subtle emotional resonance. Her compositions often emphasize space, geometry, and light, reflecting the influence of architecture on her visual language.

She currently lives and works in Switzerland.
